Eden Plan Hawaii
our mission
Eden Plan builds rapidly deployable tiny homes to address homelessness on Hawaiʻi Island and provides stable housing paired with practical skills, nourishment, and supportive community. Each home is constructed with approximately $10,000 in materials, allowing us to scale quickly and responsibly while meeting urgent housing needs.

We operate a purpose-driven residential program that prioritizes housing, workforce skills, and long-term stability—ensuring individuals have not only a safe place to sleep, but a clear path forward.

We are expanding to be able to provide further entrepreneurial workshops for community members across Puna as well as residents on site.

We deem empowerment training essential to breaking cycles of poverty.
We have 3 current priorities:

1. Expand the number of people we serve on site

2. With donation of further property, we will replicate the project to build more houses

3. Successfully continue to scale community outreach, getting community resource information out to families and transitioning foster youth earlier, so we can empower stable futures. We are striding to grow our network and options able to be offered to people facing housing instability.

Housing
Provide Safe, Stable Housing
We house individuals facing housing instability, including youth aging out of foster care, survivors of domestic violence, and others in need of immediate, dignified shelter.
Community
Eden Plan uses a systems-minded, trauma-informed approach to community partnerships, recognizing that housing stability is strongest when services are coordinated rather than siloed. We work alongside trusted partners to provide wraparound support that prioritizes safety, dignity, and choice.
These collaborations build organizational and community resilience, ensuring residents have access to the resources, care, and continuity needed to stabilize, heal, and move toward long-term independence.
food security
& health
At Eden Plan, we use on-site regenerative farming to address food insecurity and support youth experiencing homelessness. Residents and at-risk community members receive fresh, nourishing meals—like our daily raw vegan lunches—while gaining hands-on farming and life skills that promote long-term independence.
Our programs also connect participants with public health resources through partners like HOPE Services, and past residents have seen measurable improvements in health outcomes. Donations directly support the expansion of our orchards, allowing us to grow more food and extend our impact across Hawaiʻi Island.
